        HHC

Among the rush of hemp-derived cannabinoids going across the country. Delta-8, Delta-O THC, Delta-10 THC, and THC-P just to name a few. Only a handful have escapes public understanding more than HHC. A web search brings a plethora of contradictory information. About it's legality, and its effects on the body.

Making sense of HHC is complicated in part because it has only recently reached the market. The cannabinoid offers lots of potential.

With states and countries banning D8, the most popular Hemp Derived Cannabinoid alternative, HHC offers a bit more legal promise. Since its not actually a THC compound at all.

Can you pass a drug test?

Evidence showing whether or not if you can pass a drug test is purely anecdotal at this point. Unlike the Delta 8, Delta 9, Delta 10 forms of THC, there is some evidence that HHC doesn't metabolize into 11-hydroxy-THC, which is the breakdown substance many drug panels test for. That being said due to only having anecdotal evidence, we cannot with integrity confirm or deny if you could pass a drug test for the time being.

        What is HHC?

The cannabinoid is typically derived through a process that begins with hemp, the low-THC cannabis plant that was made federally legal by U.S. congress in the 2018 Farm Bill.
HHC is a THC relative long known to science (Created in 1944 by American chemist Roger Adams) but until recently not often discussed by cannabis users. HHC is a minor cannabinoid: it occurs naturally in cannabis, but in amounts so slim it makes extraction not cost effective. Since commercial production of HHC is just getting off the ground, its still not widely known.

Most cannabinoids can be converted to other cannabinoids by altering the chemistry of the molecules. Like Delta-8 THC and Delta-10 THC, commercial HHC is processed from Hemp Derived CBD in a lab.

        HHC Effects

HHC can have THC like effects on the body and mind, but HHC is less potent, milligram-per-millagram, than delta 8 THC. Delta 8 THC is itself generally regarded as about half as potent as the standard Delta 9 THC. HHC effects are very similar to those of THC, such as feelings of euphoria, as well as altered visual and auditory perceptions.

Some HHC users describe its effects as more relaxing than stimulating, similar to Delta 8. Since HHCC is so similar to THC, it may offer many of THC's therapeutic benefits, but few studies have investigated this. One study on beta-HHC in rats indicated it possesses notable painkilling benefits, but more research is required to assess HHC's full potential.
